Company History |
Applied Engineering Products Company is a Utah-based development-stage company that develops and provides products and services for humanitarian and strategic land mine removal markets. In February 1960, Applied Engineering Products Company (AEPCo) was incorporated in the State of Utah to design, develop, and manufacture, advanced technology, surveillance, and security products for the Department of Defense, State Governments, and commercial end users. One of the Company’s areas of interest was and remains to be large-scale surveillance and tracking systems. AEPCo has 45 years experience in high technology electronic products. The core business has always been in computer controlled automated/robotic systems and the integration of these into total solutions. The largest commercial product was the FORSS IV line that encompassed two primary products. The first was the development of the high- speed surveillance platform with camera that was sold to high-end department stores for security surveillance. AEPCo developed another security system for the United States Air Force and was installed at an Air Force Base to protect the B-2 bomber aircraft, representing over $6 billion of Air Force assets. This system led to the development of proprietary AEPCo software that is still considered state of the art today. AEPCo enhanced the software allowing video users an inexpensive encryption system for security between our cameras and the command and control center. Our unique teaming agreement allows for “Now Experiences and Lessons Learned” to be translated immediately into innovations for existing equipment and the immediate development and manufacturing of equipment needed to remove the threat of un-exploded ordnance (UXO) without the risk of human life. AEPCo’s management approach makes it possible to deliver the “total solution” in months not years as a vast improvement over current government funded development programs.
